Fall has always been the best time for orienteering, and this year is not any different. In the coming weeks, the schedule is packed with many events, some close to Montreal, and others further away.

The highlight of the fall season is the Boulder Dash in New Hampshire, a 4-hour drive south of Montreal, on October 18-19. It is a two-day classic event – and also the US Masters Nationals – definitely worth the trip. On the following weekend, Rogaine enthusiast can go to the Gatineau Park and Challenge the GATs on Saturday. The day after, the Ramblers are hosting their traditional event at Morgan Arboretum, on Sunday October 27.

The last big event of the season will be the Ontario Championship in Guelph, with a Sprint, Middle and Long Distance event on November 2-3. On the same weekend, the Ramblers are planning their annual Score-O a beginner event called Time to change- discover Orienteering on Mont Royal. It takes place instead of the traditional Score-O, which has been cancelled for this year.
